PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - September Update - Fog and a new Rifle

Image
PUBG September Updates bring a new rifle and fog. PUBG just released new updates to the standard servers today. The full change information and patch notes can be found below and at this address . Included in the update is an excellent fog weather feature as well as a new rifle. I had a lot of fun with the fog. It was rather eerie and will pair very well with the rumored zombie mode that may or may not happen. Driving in the fog was very difficult and it was also very difficult to see anyone further than about 60 yards away, but I still prefer it to any other type of map. Screen grabs of the fog can be found below. Follow me on Twitch and YouTube . PUBG Parachute with new Fog It's nearly impossible to spot someone while they're prone in PUBG with fog. Apple Quietly Kills the iPod Nano and Shuffle

Image
The iPod nano (7th generation pictured) has been discontinued by Apple. Apple finally killed off the iPod nano this week. The tiny music device had a decent run, launching in 2005 and growing in popularity until the advent of the iPhone and iPod touch. However, sales of standalone iPod units (iPod touch included) have steadily declined over the last several years, and nobody is really surprised that Apple has pulled the plug. Why carry anything besides a phone when it can serve multiple functions at once? The 1st generation iPod nano. This isn't the first time Apple has killed off an iPod lineup. They quietly stopped selling the iPods classic in 2014, much to the dismay of a faithful few, but it made sense as the device hadn't been updated for years prior.  6th Generation iPod Nano Shortly after the "death" of the classic, gray market prices skyrocketed. Listings for the most-recent generation device could be found selling for $700 and above on sites l...

I recently took a short flight from SLC to PIH and recorded a time lapse video with my iPhone 7. Luckily there were clear skies that day.

Our Cruise to Alaska - June 2017

Image
This post is part of our Cruise to Alaska updates. We booked a cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines and want to give you all the detail we possibly can so that you can make an educated decision for your travel plans.  My wife and I travel fairly frequently, spending two to three weeks per year away from home for vacations and get-aways. Our regular family vacation takes us to Las Vegas every June for a week-long stay at The Grandview . However, this year we felt it was time for something new. We decided to go on a cruise to Alaska. The last cruise we took was nearly a decade ago on our honeymoon with Carnival, and while that cruise wasn't the most luxurious experience, it was still enough fun that we wanted to do it again. I had gone on a week-long cruise to Hawaii with Norwegian Cruise Lines in 2007 for a family vacation and had an absolute blast, so we decided to book our Alaskan Cruise with NCL.  We chose a 7-day cruise on the Norwegian Pearl.  Pric...

Cruising to Alaska

Image
I recently took a cruise to Alaska on Norwegian Cruise Lines. We departed from Seattle, Washington and returned to the same port a week later. We sailed to Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan and Victoria, British Columbia. There was a lot of beautiful scenery and plenty of food to eat. I'll be posting photos and some guides on how to get the best bang for your buck (and not get ripped off) while sailing with Norwegian Cruise Lines. I'll also mention great places to stay and eat while in Seattle as well.  To give you an idea of what it was like, here's a photo I took in Glacier Bay, Alaska.
